Connecting an external camera to an iPad photo booth

Sam: “I’m considering a Canon R100. If it fits the opening, is that enough?”

Nina: “No. Physical clearance and software support are separate checks. Booth.Events currently recommends the R100, but camera support is model-specific. Confirm the body and lens clear the enclosure, then connect with a USB data cable—not HDMI.”

Sam: “Can one hub handle the camera and charging?”

Nina: “A compatible USB-C hub with Power Delivery can carry camera data, charging and, where needed, Ethernet. Use a suitable charger and data-capable cable. Test the camera directly first, then add the hub so faults are easier to isolate.”

Sam: “Will Tribooth configure it before dispatch?”

Nina: “Tribooth does not power on or log into customers’ iPads, install apps or test the complete system. Setup and end-to-end testing remain with the customer.”

Check the current Booth.Events hardware guide and Tribooth FAQs. Which exact camera, lens and iPad are you trying to connect?
